What we do
SeruCoach gives you practice tests in the same format as the SERU test (36 questions, about 60 minutes), a report by handbook section, and an explanation for every answer. Questions stay in English, like the TfL test. Explanations are also available in Urdu, Bengali, Romanian, Arabic, Pashto and Persian (Farsi/Dari).
How we write the questions
- Every question is original. We write it from the public TfL handbooks: the PHV Driver's Handbook v1.0 (TfL, Sep 2021) and the Taxi Driver Handbook v1 (TfL, 2025).
- They are not real test questions, and we never use remembered questions from the live test.
- Each answer points to the handbook section and page, so you can check it yourself.
- We use AI tools to help write questions. Every answer key goes through two independent automatic checks against the handbook before it goes live.
- Explanations in other languages are machine translated, labelled on every explanation. If something looks wrong, use "Report a problem" on the question, or email us.
