These terms explain how you can use SeruCoach (the "Service") at serucoach.co.uk. Please read them. You can save or print this page at any time.

1. Who we are

Free (no account needed): a short practice test (12 questions) with your results and every answer explained, full practice test 1 (36 questions in 60 minutes), 5 practice questions for each handbook section, and guides.
Paid access is not on sale yet. Nothing on this site takes a payment. Before anyone can buy, we will publish the price, what you get, who sells it and your rights.
Launch-price email. If you leave your email, we send you one email when paid access opens, with the launch price. You pay nothing now, and leaving your email doesn't commit you to anything. See the Privacy notice.
Thank-you tests. After you leave your email, we unlock extra full practice tests in that browser, free. Like any free feature, we may change them.
The questions and explanations are in English. Some explanations are also available in other languages (see §6).
Technical requirements: an up-to-date version of Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox or Samsung Internet, JavaScript and storage enabled, and an internet connection.

You don't need an account. If you create one, your account is your email address.
To sign in, we email you a one-time code (and a sign-in link). We don't use passwords.
Keep access to your email secure. Anyone who can read your inbox can sign in.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. See the Privacy notice.

We (or our licensors) own the questions, explanations, translations, software and design.
We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for your own exam preparation.
You may not:
- copy, scrape, download in bulk, sell, publish or share our questions or explanations (sharing a link to our public pages is fine);
- use bots, scripts or automated tools to access the Service, or try to get round our access controls, rate limits or security;
- use the Service to train AI models or to build a competing product;
- break the law, or upload anything unlawful, harmful or anyone else's private data (for example in error reports).
Don't send us real SERU test content. Please don't send us questions you remember from the real assessment. We delete anything like that.

SeruCoach is an independent practice service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Transport for London (TfL).
Our questions are not real test questions. We write original practice questions based on the TfL handbook, which is published by TfL. "SERU" (Safety, Equality and Regulatory Understanding) is the name of TfL's assessment. We use it only to describe what we help you prepare for.
For official information, fees and booking, always check TfL's SERU page.
We don't guarantee that you will pass. Your result depends on your own preparation and on TfL's test. Our readiness score is an estimate from your practice results, not a prediction of your real score.

We write questions from the current TfL handbook (PHV Driver's Handbook v1.0 (TfL, Sep 2021); Taxi Driver Handbook v1 (TfL, 2025)). We check every answer against the handbook in independent reviews before it goes live. We use AI tools to help write and check content.
Translations of explanations are made with AI tools and then checked, but they may contain mistakes. The English version is the reference.
TfL can change the handbook, rules or test format at any time. We update content when we learn about changes, but there may be a short delay.
Found a mistake? Tap "Report a problem" on any question, or email us. We aim to review every report within 2 working days. If the report is right, we fix or remove the question for everyone.

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
The Service is a free study aid. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill.
We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow it, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
We are not responsible for test fees, resit fees, lost earnings, or delays in getting your licence. Whether you pass depends on many things outside our control.
We may change, pause or stop the free Service at any time.

We may update these terms, for example when paid access opens. We'll post the new date at the top.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you also keep the protection of your local law, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
You can always bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
If you live outside the UK, you keep any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
