Go by the symbols on the map, not by what you know of the real streets.
If the map bans a turn, it's banned, even if you know it's allowed today. If the map shows a road as open, you may use it.
Don't plan from memory or from a sat-nav: use what the map shows.
Our practice map is OpenStreetMap. Its symbols may look different from the map in the test, but the rules are the same.
