Roundabouts and gyratories

Route rules. Last checked 3 Nov 2026.

Go round a roundabout clockwise, keeping it on your right. Never cut across the middle.

Add points on the ring as you go round, so your line stays on the road.

A gyratory is a loop of one-way streets. Follow the arrows all the way round, even when it's longer.

Big roundabouts and gyratories have arrows on the map. Follow them, even when they point a way you don't expect.

Slip roads that meet a main road at two junctions (a diamond) are not a roundabout. Read each slip road's arrows.
